Gorden Tallis has called for a bit of calm in the wake of Greg Inglis being charged with drink driving hours after being named Kangaroos captain.
While Inglis has declined to step down as Australian skipper, there have been calls for him to be stripped of the honour - including from national selector Laurie Daly.
However the Raging Bull, a former Kangaroos captain himself, says he believes "that's a knee-jerk reaction".
Inglis fronted the media just after lunchtime today where he "sincerely" apologised but announced that he would not be stepping down as captain.
