Port Adelaide have confirmed Charlie Dixon has suffered a serious leg injury.
The injury occurred during the third quarter of the after-the-siren loss to West Coast yesterday.
Port's medical chief Tim O’Leary said today: “Charlie has suffered a fractured right fibula which will require surgery. We are still working out a timeline for surgery but he won’t play again this year.”
It forces Port to rethink how their forward line will be structured going into the rest of the year.
