Triple M’s Hot Breakfast footy reporter believes, now Tom Lynch has declared his intentions, the Suns will put a big “ultimatum” to Steven May.

Lynch expressed his desire to explore his free agency options on Thursday, seeing him all but banished from the club.

Browne believes that conversation will now focus on the future of May.

“The discussion’s now going to turn quickly to Steven May,” he explained.

“I think Gold Coast will put a similar ultimatum to him.”

Eddie McGuire said May, who is contracted until the end of 2019, has every right to say what he wants about his future.

But he said there is an “opportunity” for Gold Coast to properly reset their team and make it their own.

“There is a real opportunity for a recalibration of Gold Coast,” he said.

“I think they’ve got the right people up there.”
