12 Year Old Boys Responsible For Townsville Retirement Home Car Theft

A late night high speed chase has kept Townsville Police officers busy this week.

Two 12-year-old boys and a 19-year-old male are facing a series of offences after stealing a vehicle from a Mundingburra retirement home.

The offenders forced entry, and located keys in a shed before driving off in a Mitsubishi Triton.

Police had to deploy stingers to slow the chase in Mount Louisa, but the offenders took off on foot.

A community tip off helped the authorities to track them down a short time later at Domain Central.
