Sydney Set For A Wet Week As Rain Lingers AAP

After a wet weekend, Sydney is set to cop more rain throughout the week as temperatures plummet.

There was 1.6 millimetres of rain on Sunday at Observatory Hill, with showers continuing overnight and into this morning.

Rain is expected for the CBD and eastern suburbs throughout the day, with temperatures around the 21C mark.

It will hit a maximum of 25C on Tuesday with showers and possible storms.

A cold front will hit by Wednesday morning, with temperatures dropping by six degrees.

This weather will continue through to next weekend, with rain expected on Saturday and Sunday, but not to the severity of the weekend past.
