The NSW Business Chamber working to determine flow-on effects of drought

With 100 percent of NSW now officially in drought, businesses across the Murray region are being encouraged to complete a survey.

The data collected will be looking into the flow-on effects of the drought for regional communities and businesses.

Regional Manager Andrew Cottrill says although initial response numbers have been strong, they want to maximise coverage for the survey to ensure quality data is returned.

Despite recent rain events, recovery is still uncertain; and the Chamber is already hearing from business operators of the critical flow-on implications, particularly for smaller towns.

The group hoping the data gathered will help bring about beneficial changes to government policy.
