Love Warbirds?! Then make sure you snap up your tickets to Warbirds Down Under 2018 at the Temora Aviaton Museum this Friday October 12th & Saturday October 13th!
The full line-up of aircraft includes: Spitfire Mk XVI, Spitfire Mk VIII, Cessna A-37B Dragonfly, Lockheed Hudson, CA-13 Boomerang, DH-82A Tiger Moth, Ryan STM, Ryan PT-22, CA-16 Wirraway, Gloster Meteor, Cessna O-2A, Hurricane, P-51 Mustangs, P-40 Kittyhawks, Cessna O-1 Birddogs, Winjeels, CT-4s, T-28 Trojans, Southern Knights Aerobatic Team, Harvards, Russian Roolettes, Super Constellation, Catalina, Caribou, Yaks, Nanchangs, TBM Grumman Avenger, RAAF Roulettes Demonstration Team, RAAF Hawk, RAAF F/A-18 Classic Hornet, RAAF C-17A Globemaster, and RAAF E-7A Wedgetail.
There will be an evening show on Friday (gates open noon) from 3pm and a full airshow program on Saturday (gates open 8:30am) with activities on site from 11am. This weekend is set to be the largest gathering of Warbird Aircraft in Australia!
Temora Shire Council will be offering self-contained airfield camping and the popular Tent City 'Glamping' option will also be available.
“We are looking forward to welcoming an anticipated crowd of 20,000 fans to share the exhilaration of the incredible Warbirds that currently help and have helped shape our nation”, said the Museum’s Chief Executive Officer, Murray Kear.
“Fans can experience some rare aircraft in flying condition, including our Supermarine Spitfires, English Electric Canberra Bomber and the recently restored Cessna A-37 Dragonfly. They can enjoy the thrill of the RAAF Roulettes and F/A-18 Hornet displays across the weekend. And more than 65 additional aircraft on display, either flying or as part of our onsite static displays.”
Visitors are invited to take the opportunity to connect with the personal stories of Australia’s servicemen and women, by viewing the Unsung Heroes video and audio messages within the museum.
But that's not all! There are plenty of activities for the entire family on site, including music, food and wine, ground and flying displays, a Veterans Retreat, a kids zone and more!
“Our aim is for visitors to have a fantastic experience, be inspired by what they see, hear and learn at our event and come back to Temora again and again”, said Mr Kear.
