Tweed crash brings Easter road toll to 11

New South Wales police are investigating the cause of a fatal single-vehicle crash south of Tweed Heads last night.

A 51-year-old man died at the scene after his car crashed on Duranbah Road around 7:30pm on Easter Monday.

A report was being prepared for the coroner on Tuesday.

The man's death brings the national Easter Holiday Road Toll to 11.

That figure is three more than last year but half the number of deaths over the holiday break in 2015.
