A Toowoomba mum is planning to ‘live life to the fullest’ after discovering she is the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot winner Golden Casket officials have been searching for.
The excited woman held the winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10249, drawn on Tuesday 2 October 2018 and takes home the $2.32 million jackpot prize.
While the draw was held on Tuesday, the woman was oblivious to the fact she had won the massive prize until a Golden Casket official confirmed the news yesterday afternoon.
“Oh god, thank you very much! This is just wonderful,” she said while laughing with glee.
“I just high fived my husband! We are ecstatic!
“We had heard someone had won the jackpot prize but I just thought ‘god wouldn’t that be nice if it was us!’. I never expected it would be.
“My husband said we should just go check the ticket in case it was us, but I said to him ‘don’t get your hopes up, don’t get your hopes up!’.
We always hoped and wished and prayed it would happen to us, but never in our wildest dreams did we think it would happen – it’s mind boggling!
“It is life changing for us, it really is.”
While the Toowoomba mum said she’d need time to properly decide how she’d spend her win, she did have a few ideas.
“God, I am not really sure. We will probably celebrate tonight and go out for a really nice dinner and sit down and think about how we will spend the money,” she explained.
“My husband will probably think about retiring early and we will spoil the kids.
“I would love to get my teeth done!
“I’m really excited to start planning for our future and to live our lives to the fullest.”
The winning entry was purchased at Wilsonton Newsagency, Shop 15/25 Wilsonton Shopping Centre, 417 Bridge Street, Wilsonton.
Wilsonton Newsagency co-owner Chris Grace said she was ecstatic to have sold a winning jackpot entry and was glad the winner had been united with their prize.
“It is wonderful news, we were so excited when we found out we’d sold the prize!” she said
